Being transparent and visible in our charity governance is very important to us. We have agreed that if our business model works well and supports those in need, we’d be very happy to assist others wishing to replicate it. We’d be delighted to do so, whether this be from those around the UK or elsewhere.
The charity itself is registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), in Scotland. Our charity number is SC049169, and we are a Scottish Charitable Incorporate Organisation.
A full explanation of this terminology is available here.
We are bound by our constitution, which we will keep under regular review. This has been approved by OSCR and is our founding document. We will not deviate from that, and achieving our social purpose is our key focus.
Our Board of Trustees have to abide by the individual and collective requirements placed upon them as detailed in the Charity Trustees Guidance Note.
We have a long term plan, which is laid out in our overarching 2030 Strategy. We believe that this plan is essential to help as many people as possible, in as many ways as possible. We believe we can make a difference.
